I was diagnosed with clinical depression and had a nervous breakdown. I had been dealing with my problems since 1997 and was signed off from work for 5 years. Every day was a total struggle. The first and last thing I thought about on a daily basis was topping myself, despite being on a seriously heavy dosage of anti depressants. I had had cognitive therapy which always seemed patronising, sitting in circle re-iterating why I was feeling down.
